I’ll date myself by this: I programmed in Assembler using punch cards. Needless to say, I have seen quite a bit of change throughout my career in Information Technology. Entering the workforce I immersed myself in the world of drugs..er…pharmaceuticals that is. I’ve experienced most facets of I.T. - from user support and systems development to senior management, so I think I’m well-rounded for Project Management. Even with large global projects, I still get a kick out of writing up status reports!

I have a wonderful wife and daughter - with Bob the Horse (new addition to family) and Monty the Greyhound in keeping us entertained. I enjoy woodworking (a sample shot here…don’t laugh) and of course golf. Fishing is fun too, as is sailing, camping, and geocaching .. and since there just isn’t enough time to enjoy it all, I rotate!

Licensing Consultant

I studied Hotel & Restaurant Management with plans to someday run my own Bed & Breakfast. I enjoyed the legal and business side of the industry, but realized the daily work of cooking, cleaning & laundry wasn’t for me…Really, does anyone jump out of bed with enthusiasm over wet towels??? I stayed in the business for a few years before migrating to the ‘exciting’ world of IT Software licensing. Sixteen years of licensing experience gives me a flair for audits and makes for fun at parties.

Outside of the office, my loves are my husband and son, my tolerance balances on too many cats and the rest of my energies are focused on genealogy research, volunteering with the local VON, singing with the Sweet Adelines, and desperately trying to learn the violin. Luckily my son is enrolled in the music education program at UWO!

I have two passions in life: Technology and Cricket. I graduated from Brock University with my Computer Science degree - working with IBM Lotus Notes and Domino for past nine years. I’m a Open Source junkie, having spent countless hours installing different Linux distributions and open source applications.

I’m DLI’s resident National Team Athlete as a member of the Canadian National Cricket Team, often to the dismay of my fellow colleague, DV Punia. You know it’s a passion when create your own indoor version (hut cricket) inside the hotel lobby with some interesting rules…
Hey, how can you not like a game with fielding positions named Slips, Fine Leg, Short Leg, Silly Mid On…??

Computers and I have seemed to get along since a friend who owned a Commodore VIC-20 taught me how to write in BASIC. My first software engineering project was a fixed match-making program developed on the school's Commodore 64 (show of hands who remembers the ‘Floppy Disk’). It wasn’t too long afterwards I received my Computer Programming diploma from Fanshawe College and start working primarily with Lotus Notes and Domino.

I have a great wife and 2 fabulous boys. In my spare time, I enjoy music, reading, playing with all electronics and toys that go fast. I have been told that I look like Larry Dallas from Three’s Company after I’ve missed a couple of haircuts (oops ... I think I just dated myself ....)

Although born in a small town in India, I didn’t sit still as I expanded my horizons by traveling around the world with my father, a diplomat. My view of a “Server” changed in 2000, trading my Sous Chef’s coat for an IT lab coat - pretty significant since I had previously won a North American Culinary Competition.

Since graduating from Seneca@York in eCommerce and Internet software development, I’ve “focused” on BlackBerry, Lotus Domino, IBM WebSphere Portal, and Java/J2EE application development & consulting.

My Sensuous Passion – Cricket
My Life - My Wife
My World – IT
My Hunger – Knowledge
My Goal - To Rise
My Motive: Never giving up; always greeting life’s challenges with a smile
My Love - Experiencing the joy of Exceeding my clients’ expectations

I’ve been passionate about the potential of Lotus Notes and Domino as an collaboration platform since Notes 3. I’ve attended almost every Lotusphere (12 altogether). I spent the majority of my technical life inside the Canadian Financial Services industry in IT before consulting and co-founding Decision Labs.

Life outside of work? Ummm, there's an outside? Kidding - I totally enjoy my daughters and everything they do. They love dancing - This is my youngest, and this flying ballerina is my eldest. My beautiful wife is a breast cancer survivor. She is courageous and uplifting. Apparently I needed to do something outside of the office, so I recently started dabbling in photography (sample shots here, here, here, and here). Enjoy!

Ever since my dad brought home a TI-99/4A, I’ve loved playing with technology. I’ve leveraged my Business Administration degree, having spent 10 years on the sales, marketing, and channels side of IT, including 5 years working with IBM and their partners.

With my soccer playing days behind me, I now coach my kids and the next generation of soccer superstars. Prefer the outdoors to indoors, being active rather than passive, got hooked on Texas Hold’em poker during the NHL lockout and out-scored a Princeton Ph.D. two years in a row at the University of Waterloo National Math Contest.

Finished University with a Mechanical Engineering degree - taking it up North to explore for Oil in Western Canada. After experiencing the Arctic chill from the Beaufort Sea (something no one ever forgets), I moved into the IT world by selling AutoCad and Lotus Notes software and 14 years later, I co-founded Decision Labs. I have a fabulous wife and two great kids - Watching them grow up is a blast. They represent my proudest accomplishment.

Since I was a kid, my passion has been airplanes - I fly my own plane and often post my (mis)adventures online. The perfect day is flying to Long Point to spend a few hours on the beach. Besides planes, I'm known for early mornings, jogging, constantly eating, running a BMX track, bragging about my kids, owning a Hybrid car and being a bit of an environmentalist (with my dream seeing all Hummers crushed into beer cans).

I've been a technology consultant since Windows 3.1, being involved in Lotus Notes and Domino for much of that time. (Still trying to) Graduate from the University of Life (don't think I'll ever grow up!), so if you have ever wondered how not to do something, ask me - I’ve probably already found the way.

Outside of DLI, I enjoy playing music for small crowds, and watching my kids play basketball and dance. Many people say I look like Jim Carrey (someone once said I look like Drew Carey - they were confused….I hope). I don’t think I look like Jim Carrey, but it’s better than looking like one of his characters...
